Hi folks. Getting ready for my 17 Hornet project based on the Contender. Going to be a carbine with 21" bull barrel. Does anyone have a pet load or other loading info? Also, what would be good, compact scope for no more than 300 yards? TIA, Chris |

Man that is exactly what I'd order for that contender frame. My .17 Jet is the perfect walking gun and has the same barrel as you mention - 21" full bull on the contender. After shooting that little 10" .17 hornet of mine, I have had an itch for a carbine length barrel to really see what it will do. |

Jim, What kind of performance are you getting from the 10" .17 hornet? I've been thinking about adding just that barrel to my collection. Thanks,
