Have just got my first bucket of .635 j4 jackets in .17 to make some 30g open tips, but all my seating punches are too small. As there is such a long wait for such things I thought I would try to turn one up myself or get a local toolmaker to make me one. I wondered what size punch any of you guys were using so I could use that measurement as a datum. I am using Corbin S press and dies. Many Thanks. Don

Don there is a guy in Michigan USA, Mark Spencer that does precision OD and ID grinding if you send him a print of what you want he can fix you up in no time. I have Blackmon dies and press and Mark made me some extra core seating punches in about a weeks time, his e-mail address is Spencerkelly@sbcglobal.net

Hi Mark,

Where in Michigan are you located? I am in the Midland area.

Oh, I see you are in Standish, not too far away. Do you make other swaging tools or accessories?

I might be looking for some external S and H style punches, once I find out what diameter the punch tip needs to be.

I assumed you would make punches from the previous posts, but I was wondering if you got into making any dies? I could use a core forming die about .300".

Maybe we can get together and shoot the Breeze? I'm a member of Bay County Gun Club. We could meet there.
