223 (AR-15, Rem700VS, Savage 110, Sako Vixen, TC Contender Carbine)
Powder: H4895 26.5 grns (start at 25.0 and work up)
Bullet: 50 grain Sierra BK, Hornady Vmax or Nosler BT
Case: LC (Lake City), Winchester, Federal
Primer: Winchester, Rem7.5, Federal205
OAL: 0.030 off the lands

I have tried this load in every 223 I have owned and all have shot it well. 1-14, 1-12, 1-9 and 1-8 twist barrels. In most 223 brass 26.5 grns will be a compressed load.

40gr V Max and Viht N120 is the first load I try in any 223 I load for. Start at 21 and work to 24.5 depending on what you rifle likes.

Thompson Center Encore - 223 Remington 15" SS Tapered Foxridge Barrel

WW Case
21.6 Grains H4198
Fastexed 50 Grain Nosler Ballistic Tip
Federal 205 Primer
3,025 FPS
Bullet Seated .005" Off Lands

This load is good for .4" - .6" 5-shot groups at 100 yards in my gun. Also, this is an absolute MAXIMUM load in my pistol. You should start at least 2.5 grains lower and work up carefully watching for pressure signs.

Good luck!

Fill the case to the top with VV 133, stuff a bullet in to the correct depth (just off the lands), watch the dog explode.

26 grains of VV N133 with any 40gr bullet and Winchester brass works for me. I have also been experimenting with H335. I am using 27 grains with a 40gr Nosler and Norma brass. This gives me some very good groups!

For several years it was T-32 and a 50blitz and that load worked really well in two very different barrels. But AA2015 with a 50TNT is not only much faster, but awesomely accurate as well. Those bullets are cheap when bought in the 1000rd box. One more gr. of powder and a 40 ballistic tip will give velocity that puts a big smile on your face. If AA2015 was made for that cartridge, so was VV133.....you won't believe what 133 does with a 40 or 50gr bullet. My load is 27.5gr with a 40 and 26.5-27.0gr with a 50. Shooting 55's, VV135 gives accuracy and velocity in a .223 that you just won't believe. To get full potential, IMI brass is the stuff to use because it's so damn tough. But it's almost impossible to find now. The new Lapua Match should be just as strong but I haven't personally tried it yet. Also maybe military stuff such as Lake City, but I haven't used that either.
