Is the 550 threaded different? I'm not positive on the 550, but I know the 650 and 1050 are standard 7/8" threads and any die set can be used. For the .38/357 Lee is not bad. Straight walled cartridges in Lee dies are fine, that is about the only time you will ever hear me recommend Lee though.

They are regular thread. Only Dillon is different with a seperate seater and crimp die. Case bell is done with the powder die.

Grab a set of Lee's then. They are cheap but work fine for straight wall cases. You can use the seat die as just a seat and buy the crimp die separate. A full set of Lee dies are less expensive than one Dillon. I won't use them on anything else, but revolver cartridges are fine.
