Thanks to all those that commented above

WOW!!! Congratulations!!

Have you contacted your taxidermist yet???

Yes I did and I paid him a visit yesterday
My wife thinks I have him on a retainer like some have lawyers
He thought I would have it back by the first of the year
Lets just say I give him a lot of business
I asked him what he thought it would score---= 161 gross

Nice looking deer. Should make some good vension. How about some details on the hunt and shot?

I first saw him at about 80 yds coming up the bean field scent checking for a doe. Figured if he stayed on course he would either take the trail in front of my stand or stay on the edge of the bean field and duck into a good bedding area. I thought if he would have stayed in the beans out of range I would let him pass by and try to call him back with the wind more to my advantage

I left it up to him at that point and he decided plan A was best
He came down my well groomed trail---@ 15yds---and I double lunged him
Took off hit the bean field (sounded like a horse) and I heard him go down
Total tracking job 40 yds

Congrats on a great looking Buck. I saw his twin yesterday standing in the neighbors yard. Hope no one gets him as he is the one that needs to breed the herd.

Nice Whitetail buck.We grow them big in the Midwest, I hope that deer disease doesn't ruin it ,but the reports i hear are not encouraging.

Great buck!! I keep forgetting about the new "Big Game" forum :o. It's the time of year to keep track of this one. Thanks for sharing the experience!
