I'm looking to buy a H&R Handi Rifle in .357 magnum caliber. Prefer unmodified gun. Thanks! Bob blintner28@optonline.net

Have you seen the Ruger 77 in 357? That would be a fun one also! I really want to try with with a 148HBWC on a mild load, quiet and pretty darn effective!

Good luck

They are fun, but one in 30 Carbine is really cool. I have built about a dozen of them. I have a 256 Win Mag Handi in the lathe now. Larry

Ooh, what a great idea!! I had been thinking about a 300 black out but now? How does one come up with a 30 carbine barrel. I assume it is a custom job.

Bill K nailed it! I want to have Mike Bellm rechamber it for .357 Rem Maximum. Great minds think alike!:D

If I did not have a 375 JDJ, I would have a 357 Max in a hot minute, just like you are planning. They both are great thumpers :D Bill K :) ps. bellm will do you a good job.

I use Remington 300 Win Mag take off barrels, they are about a dime a dozen. With their fast twist, you can load down 180gr cast 30 cal bullets and shoot subsonic or load up some light weight half jackets for some speed. Larry

357 max is pretty sweet! One of the Chiappa mini sharps in 38/55 would be a honey as well!

Bill K. Thanks for the info on Mike B., I've yet to deal with him, but I'm hoping to find a H&R Handi Rifle soon and have him re-chamber it. I've only heard good things about him and his work. Bob

Bob. there is another guy also posts as "David" on small caliber club site and maybe here, on occasion. He does a lot of those type also, but with the stubbs on Contender, Encore and H&R frames.. You might do some checking around on him also. But I do know Bellm's do good work. Bill K :)

Bill,
Thanks for the heads up! I'm not in a hurry, so I'll just keep looking and I'm sure one will turn up eventually.
Bob
