Had a great weekend with 3 of my 4 sons. Two of them harvested with the same rifle. 338 Edge we built. Two shots two kills. One at 405yds, youngest son called the shot at just behind the ear, perfect shot. 300 grain Berger. Oldest son at 530yds. Was a fun time with great company. Hope to get all four boys out together sometime.

Nice photo's and hunt story. Looks like everyone had fun. Hopefully the adage " When you hunt with your boy's(children) you won't have to hunt for the boy's(children) will work :D Bill K :)

Congrats on the successful hunt!

Huge buck, much thicker neck than the others.

Around 26 or 27" ?

It looks like they hang out near Quakies;)

Bringing up the next generation of hunters well, my friend.:D

Sure some healthy looking deer and boys. Great job.
Would those bigger bucks weigh 250 to 300lb?

I have found many times, the bigger, older whitetail bucks are also well

fattened up.

Contrary to what we are led to believe, I think the smaller and medium sise bucks run all the fat off breeding season.

The old bucks lay around getting fat.

Those big old bucks are the best eating many times. Kenny

Those deer are nice healthy bucks. That big one was probably right in the 250-300lb size. Lots of fat on them and yes Kenny that big one had twice the fat the others did. Really nice light colored fat. Had steaks off of one of them tonight! Quite tasty for mule deer.:)

The boys? Yea, packed plenty of their deer out in the past. The are now the packers. Thank goodness,:D

Excellent post, Dasherr - wonderful trip looks like. Man- that big fellow is sure a pig. WOW- nice big buck, as big as anything here. I've only seen a couple local muleys that big.
