Martin,

Welcome to the forum! My advice is to keep one hand on your wallet at all times or this crew will help you spend all of your money. I believe they refer to it as "purchase mentoring" and they are very accomplished.

There is considerable loading data for the Tactical 20 available online at the following site: http://www.6mmbr.com/20Caliber.html
This round was developed by Todd Kindler and he has included it in his "Terrific Twenties" book available from Todd at: http://www.woodchuckden.com/tac20.aspx

You should also search the reloading data in this forum for both cartridges. One other source for 17 PPC data is Todd Kindler's "Sensational Seventeens" book available through Todd's site at the above address. There is also some further load data online at: http://www.accuratereloading.com/17ppc.html

Please be aware that Todd tends to load on the hot side and as always, reduce starting loads significantly before working up loads for your particular rifle.

Again, welcome aboard. There are a bunch of experienced and and helpful guys here who are willing to help with questions and who will also lighten the load you carry in your wallet!

Good luck,
Gary

Martin,
I had a full length 17 PPC and never could get it to shoot. As it turned out it had a bad barrel. Any load info I have probably wouldn't help much because nothing was ever consistant. I have since rebarreled into a 17 LN and am shooting some very small groups with it. Benchmark seems to be the powder of choice in it. Seems like in the full length I was having the best luck with
H414 and N540.
