I roosted these turkeys the night before. I had to set-up closer than I like, so I snuck in 2 hours before first light.

This was my first attempt at self-filming an archery hunt. Also the first time I've used my Canon G30 camera.

Great video Chad! Nothing like sticking a big Tom, most folks don't bowhunt turkeys, it can be a frustrating endeavor.....things have to work out perfect. You have some nice country to hunt, good shot too!

Thanks Bowfisher. It is alot of hard work packing in the blind, chair, decoys, bow, camera and tripod. I generally pack food for all day too, since I normally kill my birds midday when the hens leave the toms to lay eggs. This hunt was short and sweet though. The toms flew down and left two hens in the roost tree.

Bowhunting turkeys is one of my favorite things to do. I generally hunt a couple different states each year. This year I "zero'ed" in MS :(

Awesome! I tried using my bow a couple times, couldn't close the deal. Nice job. My week starts the 29th here in WI.

I had a longbeard at 15 yds full strut one year. Had my bow. Bugger would not stand still. Let my dad shoot...he missed with a shotgun! Never gonna forget that one. I gotta wait until May 2. Dang...

Nice bird!
