I picked up a boyd varminter stock cheep just dont know what it fits. I think it is for a ruger 77 mkII short action by comparing to pic on guns america. the action screws are 7in apart it is cut for a bottom drop mag. It also has a slot cut in the front for a recoil lug like on a rem 700. It is 8in from the rear action screw to the front of the recoil lug slot. it didnt fit any of my remingtons or any thing else I have. any ideas or pics of the inletting of a ruger stock I guss if I know what it is I could has a reason to buy a new rifle. jeremy

It would help to know a few more things about the stock.

Is the inletting for a flat bottomed action (70, Mauser, Vanguard) or a round action (Savage, Remington)?

Is the front screw go stait in or at an angle (Ruger.)?

Does the front screw go into the recoil lug (Mauser) or into the receiver in another spot?

A little more information will help greatly.
