Does anyone have any experience with the 36X Benchrest model of this scope? I don't know anything about Sightron. How is the clarity of the glass and repeatability of the scope adjustments?

How does the quality compare to other benchrest scopes? I am looking for something to use for load development.

Thanks for any input.

No experience with Sightron 36X.

Lots of experience with other Sightrons. All good.

... as my experience with Sightrons is almost the opposite.

Gary,

Sightron scopes are very very good and repeatable. They stand behind the product 100%.

I like mine. Ron Hoehn won the Super Shoot with one a couple yrs ago.

Gary: I bought a varible some years ago ....and didn't like it, never bought another. It had to much distortion around the edges of its field of view. I use a Weaver 36X for evaluating new/new to me rifles and like it alot. Good Luck.

How does the sightron II compare to the Burris fullfield II models?

I currently own 2 of the 36X sightrons and even though they are not as clear as a Leupold they are still an excellent scope. They will hold POA and the clicks are firm not mushy. I did have one go bad on my 6PPC Bench gun but it was because it took a nosedive off the tailgate of the truck. From the time I sent it back to sightron until a new one was returned and at my door step was 5 days. No questions asked just replaced. That should be pretty good customer service in anyones book.
