X-Terminator in .17rem

Hello,
Anyone try Ramshot X-terminator powder in a .17rem?

Ramshots website lists a few loads but velocity did not look very fast compared to my Hodgdon powder selection. If it's accurate I can live with the lower speed.

I was in Sportsman's warehouse Saturday and could not pass it up. Never tried it before. Mostly for my .223rem but thought it might do some good in the .17cal area.

X-Terminator powder in a 14” contender barrel was a very accurate good shooting powder for me to be using back in 2001. Velocity was low but that was with all powders in that 14” barrel.

I would recommend Tac, I think it is much more suited for the size of the case and I also used Big Game with the 25 gr bullets but it was a compressed load and worked much better with the 30 gr bullets.

I still use X-Term in the 17 Mach IV with good success but Tac is my go too powder in the 17-222 and 17 Rem with 25 gr bullets
