Hi from a reloading newbie,

Has anyone reloaded .17 Rem Fireball with Vihtavouri 140 or 150 ? The reason I ask is that this is the only powder currently in stock with my local gun dealer.

He has some Varget on back order - any use ?

Try N133 for 20 gr. You also try H322, if he has any.

Probably to slow of a burn rate. Its a pretty full case in my M4 with 133 and I believe that the capicity is very nearly the same. Don't know, but it might work with a 25 gr. bullet. Good luck.

Both work well in a 17 Rem with a 30 gr. bullet but its way to slow for the 17 F.B. A good powder to use with 25 gr. bullets would be H-335 or 322.. T/A

here is a link to some loads from our friends here - its for the M4 but should work with the 17FB as well.
