Has anyone worked up a 4,200-4,300fps load that shoots well using these bullets. By well I mean 1/2-3/4" groups @ 100. Thanks for any info guys. I chose RL10x as it seemed to give upper end velocities across the bullet spectrum. By the time I got it to shoot a .500" group I was under 4,000 fps.

I have done some testing with them. Have not had the chance to run them over my chrony yet.
For accuracy I ended up with (about 1/2")
23.3 gr of H-4198
26.3 of RL-10X
and 27.8 of benchmark.

I have some RL-7 that I want to try as well. Burn rate will be similar to the H-4198.
I have 10 boxes to use up and once they are gone, I probably won't use them anymore. They have a very low B.C. and shed their energy quite quickly.
The 39 gr BK with it's high B.C. catches up and passes it at about 200 yds with elevation speed and wind drift. The mist factor at 200 yds and under are about the same as the 39 gr BK.

Thanks for the info. I was down to 25.5 grains of RL10 before I could squeeze a half inch group out of them. By the time I ran the loads up to 26.5 grns. I was running a 1.5" group. I am really dissatisfied with the bullet performance. Glad I only purchased 1 box. These bullets seemed to perform more like FMJ's on my test subjects. They may make a better pelt hunting than varmint bullet. Most of my shooting here is restricted to the 200 and under yardage range. I think i will play with the 32 grain vmax's next.
