Would you vent an action?

I have a M95 Steyr action nearly done for my 20-30 project (20 cal 30-30), (this is replacing my 20-06 project) I see that the Steyr action is not vented in back of the bolt locking lugs and was wondering if it would be prudent to drill a vent hole in it some place. If so, how big? When I clamp it in the mill to flatten the rear of the action for a scope base I could easily mill a nice clean hole aft of the chamber some place. Larry
