Yo Barry, How have you been? Working your ass off I bet. I got back from Africa, four weeks, sort of a burnout scene for this old man, first week was a fishing trip in Mozambique, fished four days, hotter than the hinges of hell and then three weeks hunting every day. Only took off one day for rain. Anyway, I took my foxpro wildcat over and left it there, the remote on it was orange and black lcd and it sucked big time. I need to get a new one but the atom is too much. What one are you looking at? I need to
just have one for crows and coyotes and maybe a deer call. Dale
Barry. Called and talked to Jim a while ago.. He is like me waiting for his barrel. However he also is waiting for his dies also. When we both get our barrels and some loads then we will call each other and see how things compare. He has some 30MP and is going to try it. I do not, but do have AA1680, so that is where I will start. No Lil gun in my area either.. Anyway that is where it stands right now. Bill K
Hi Barry
I was reading your older post that just came back up about your 17VHA rifle. I was looking to build a bench gun to replace my light carry CZ527 17AH. I have had some problems in the past with getting the headspace right with my last batch of brass so I am reconsidering building the 17AH as my starting prairie dog bench gun. What I love about the 17AH is of course is the light recoil and the lack of barrel heating. Anyway it appears that the 17VHA may do as good or better job as the 17AH but with better brass and potential forming issues. I wanted to talk to your about your rifle and who did your gunsmithing and dies cost etc. What time in the evening would be good to call you. I am on the east coast. Thanks Bill Rush
PS I was also considering the using the 22TCM case to do a 17TCM. I talk to Ray H about that round but he has not chronographed any rounds and has not do a lot of testing yet.
