Its not fiddly to reload. I think easier than a 17AH and easier to clean. I have used it out to 200m on foxes and rabbits. It would probably be ok out further but your 204 would then be a better option. I am using my 17 AH form and trim die which takes the hornet case down to around .220 and then I expand it up with a Sinclair expander. To reload I neck size with a Wilson 17AH die and appropriate bushing. I had a Wilson blank seater reamed when I had the barrel fitted and chambered. The seater is the same dimensions as the chamber. You could get a set of 20AH dies from the Woodchuck Den or Redding direct.

    Hi Mudge,
Like to know your thoughts on your 20 hornet if you have time to share them. I'm also in Oz, and want something between my 204R and my 22WMR, mainly as a walkabout varminter & calling rifle. I've settled on either the 20AH, or the 20 Garin. The former I would build on a ruger M77/22, and the latter on a CZ527.
Is it fiddly to reload, ie get good accuracy from?
Where did you get your dies from?
your opinion on its effective range (foxes)
    Thanks,
    tim
