22 Flea

I am looking for info on the 22 Flea (32 ACP necked to .224). I'd be interested in dies or info on dies and a gun chambered in it. Thanks

I have 22 'Rush' cartridge that was given to me some years ago. It is a .32 Auto necked down to .224. Same thing?
Supposedly a Jack Rush from Montana had a Cooper 22 centerfire that would not shoot to his satisfaction and got into a peeing match with Dan Cooper over it. Must have pulled the barrel and rechambered for this round.
Jack has passed away but he was a contributor to the old 'Small Caliber News'.
The cartridge was given to me by a friend in Broadus, MT.
PM or E-mail me if you need name. etc.

Shoulder dimensions?

chinchilla6599 02-10-2012 06:57 PM

Don't really know. I would be nice if it was 23 degrees. Thanks

Found out Competitor Corp makes a single shot pistol in 22 Flea, and the dies, so ordered one today. Thanks for the help guys.

22 cooper

The rifle Jack had trouble with was the 22 Cooper. And the 22 Rush was built on and old Kimber he had laying around.

Any ideas on what kind of velocity can be achieved?

ab_bentley 02-11-2012 03:09 AM

Right around 1800 max I believe with a 40gr Nosler BT. Adam

22 Rush

In the 2 part article Jack did get velocitys higher than 1,800fps., but he said he was not after high velocitys he was after accuracy. He said if he wanted velocitys he would have built a Swift! It was a very good read, now I wish I would have saved all my PS mags and not used them in my 22 mag, 5mm mag penetration tests.
