Wire Cutter
Hi. Does anyone know of a machine that will cut lead wire, fed from a spool or similar? I realize that these are pricey, but I'd like to get away from cutting wire with a manual cutter.

have you considered buying core's from Charlie hood?

No, I haven't. I'm in Canada, so shipping them here would be expensive I think. It probably wouldn't hurt to find out what he charges though.
Thanks for the reply. Steve :) |
CH Core Cutter
Though not a machine cutter my CH will cut at a high rate with little effort.

Years ago I had a little crank operated machine. I used to cut lead wire into pieces to melt onto shiney backs for ice fishing spoons. It was called a Little Joe sleeving cutter. Don't know if you can find one, but mine worked well for me and was only around $100 at the time.

It looked almost exactly like this without the lower wraparound metal guard.

Thanks for the responses.
I'd like to find something to make the wire cutting less tedious. I've had some email responses from a couple of companies, but the cheapest cutter was $1050. That is a manually operated cutter. I'm hopeful that my search will eventually turn up something that will precision cut the cores so that the weight is consistent, core to core. |
jason coye makes a good and reasonably priced core cutter he took over for his dad saw him at super shoot he had a couple that sold pretty fast.these are automatic units work fast and real slick. george i can get #FOR HIM IF NEEDED DONT HAVE ONE RIGHT NOW
