I agree with most of what was added here, and consider that after you buy that $500 Remington action, spend $250 having it trued to make it shoot consistently you've crossed into that custom action...

After the problems I've had I was relieved that the rifle does in fact shoot really well. I was able to get some .3-.4" groups before the wind picked up and made my little 35 VMAX bullets impossible...

I agree with the bronze brush. The nylon works for me on some custom barrels but bronze does a better job on powder fouling. It seems like some barrels still have a phantom gray color on patches...

That's a good looking cartridge isn't it? Maybe the best powder to bullet ratio of all the 17's I've looked into. How does it shoot?

I agree the 6BR is an overlooked varmint cartridge. It will shoot 55 grain Ballistic tips over 3600fps. That's a bad thing if you're a varmint. That said the 10 twist won't stabilize the 105's...
