It is just a thought. What if Savage was tempted away from the 5.7 x 30 project by Hornady because Hornady needed a rifle maker committed to the Hornady's 17 Hornet?

Upcoming Stiff Competition from Hornady and CZ
With Hornady coming out with the 17 Hornet (rimless?) and CZ (the rifle?) both next year?, Savage is launching late with the 5.7 x 28.
Varminters will swarm to the 17 Hornet.
