removing rust

I use 0000 steel wool and oil. But I understand that bronze wool is better because it is a little more gentle than steel wool. However, I've never been able to find any bronze wool in any store.

I had a look at a trigger on a M595 and on a T3. The trigger looks the same and adjusts the same on each action, down to about 1.5 pounds.

x2 what NZVarminter recommends. That is the type I'm using now - much better than carting around a bulky 12v lamp with a heavy lead/acid battery, etc.

Thanks Hog Patrol, just what I needed. I'm surprised that the BDL mag box insert is the same depth, front and back, and the ADL mag box insert is proportionally deeper in the back. Must be some...

rem 700 bdl long mag box dimensions

Hi, I'd like to post a photo (good as a 1,000 words and all that). I've tried to negotiate the photo process for Saubier in the past, several times, and failed completely. So, no photo.
The...

Remington long action BDL magazine dimensions

I'm changing a Rem700 ADL long action (270Win) to BDL. I want to reduce the magazine depth from the ADL length to the shorter BDL length. It is impractical to order a BDL mag from NZ (too far off...

Norma used to make a target/training bullet at 80 grains. I've got a bunch of them from shooters clearing their shelves and some in factory Norma ammo. The factory stuff shoots accurately at 100m and...

Forbes rifle opinions/knowledge

I did a search on Saubier and there is a little bit about Ultra Light Arms rifles, and how good they are, and how expensive they are. However, there is nothing about the Forbes rifle. My...

Bill K: I think the article was in Handloader a couple or three months ago. I glanced at it for a moment of relief from supermarket shopping. I can remember being very surprised by the conclusions of...

I got the 243Win manual that matches the 30-06 one mentioned by Barretcreek. It is excellent. Wish I'd shelled out for another one or two in the series. The one I have has been my bible for the 243....

222Rimmed

There has been some 222 Rimmed on Trademe at $2/case for a while. I don't know what the quality is like. The alternative is is to trim down 5.6x50 Rimmed. But getting 5.6 x 50 Rimmed is another...

Could consider the CZ453 that comes fitted from the factory with a single set trigger. I've compared the 453 with the 452 fitted with the Brooks kit and the triggers on both were a pleasure.

I'm using IMR4227 in a 17AH with good (consistent/fast) results. I can't get 1680 and I've yet to try H4227 which is easy to get (and won't until the old stock of IMR is finished). Tried IMR4198 but...
