I've had no luck with used Remington 22 H brass using a single pass. All crumple for me. New PPU with light lanolin in a FL Lee die works great for me.

Last fall I spotted a box of 222 Remington on the local Walmart ammo shelf. Nothing more. Since my 222 hasn't seen a factory load since it left the factory I didn't think it needed to now.

I'll second the need to anneal. Look at the LC 5.56 brass. It shows signs of a recent annealing. It's also required convting 22 to 17 Hornet.
