Eddie That Is A More Than A Fair Price
I also have a Rem 722 in .222. I picked up a couple Rem 788's and another 722 with 6TCU barrel for $400 each. Hope you get the price your asking for.

I always felt the CCI 400 seated the same as WSR primers. Both reacted the same with powders like 4198, 4895, 1nd 748 in a .222.

Cci 400
I have used the CCI 400 and WSR in a .222 Rem and .223. Neither primer is considered a magnum primer but not all bolts will fire magnum primers anyway. I have loaded near max loads of 4198 and 4895...

Glue-in/Pillar Bed or Both
All 3 methods of attaching a barreled action to a stock have merit. For your next project what do you do. Or do you accept a factory/custom rifle and pay later for a bedding job. I have had all 3...

I agree with dungheap. You expect too much out of a factory/custom rifle. Your stringing pattern is a weather report not your rifle or load.

Good To Go
Nothing wrong with your rifle, load, or set-up. Groups are fine you might try a better target with a better aiming point to hold on. Wind flags are nice, I have 83 but for a field gun why bother,...

Pillars in the stock action and action glued in are a sure thing. Adds price but the best. I had my smith do the pillars and I glued with JB. Takes a couple days but well worth the efforts.
