I understand that bullets can drift a little as a result of the spin the have and how that relates to the bullets surface "friction" as it's now rifling engraved surface contacts the air.

Alex,

I bought myself a DeWalt 7.2 volt screwdriver for neck turning after getting sick of the lack of torque and battery life with a 3.6 volt Black and Decker.

I don't know what they cost over...

Craig,

The Coopers bolt lift always seems to be a bit on the heavy side regardless of loads. Seems to be a function of a steep cocking cam and a heavy spring and a short pin fall.

If the...

Alan,

Don't know if you have checked or if it matters but I think you will find cases that have been formed with the one pass process will be considerably shorter overall. The brass seemed to get...

Rick,

Another 17AH vote.

As has been said noise is about mid way between the 17HMR and a 223, notably less than the 223.

If noise is a problem try the 20 grain VMax and 5 grains of Hodgdon...

The fired cases will most likely have a lot less bullet run out than newly formed cases. That may lead to a little less accuracy potential, especially if the rifle is a really good one.

If you...

Hi Jim,

The dropped charge weight was around 27 or 27.5 grains if I recall right, N133, just a random round number setting on the Harell's.

Granted the powder was cooled pretty chilly in the...

Go for the 17AH, dies will be a lot easier to obtain.

Also if that barrel is a 12 twist it will limit you to light short bullets, I doubt even the 20 grain VMax would shoot well in the 12 twist.

5 grains Hodgdon Universal will do 2200fps with a 40 grain bullet in a 22 Hornet.

The same load in a 221 would probably be a little short of 2000fps. Bump that up to around 6 grains and you'd...
