removing rust
I use 0000 steel wool and oil. But I understand that bronze wool is better because it is a little more gentle than steel wool. However, I've never been able to find any bronze wool in any store.

tikka trigger
I had a look at a trigger on a M595 and on a T3. The trigger looks the same and adjusts the same on each action, down to about 1.5 pounds.

x2 what NZVarminter recommends. That is the type I'm using now - much better than carting around a bulky 12v lamp with a heavy lead/acid battery, etc.

Could consider the CZ453 that comes fitted from the factory with a single set trigger. I've compared the 453 with the 452 fitted with the Brooks kit and the triggers on both were a pleasure.
