I think you will find that most members on the SCC are reluctant to do appraisals. I'm a member there & providing free appraisal services is not our purpose. There is nothing that will chill...

The Blue Book is the worst place to get values for Sakos. They can barely get the models right or listed properly & their "pricing" is no where near reality.

The 25-45 Sharps has a .378" case head diameter, while the 243 is .473", so you will need to do some type of modification to or change out the extractor/ejector so it fits the case rim.

IMR 8208 XBR, not sure what the Aussie & UK number equivalent is. H335 worked well also in my barrel. Shilen #3, 24", 5 groove, 10 twist. Actual 5 shot average was 2988 FPS with a 16 ES. Use the same...

My 6X45, built on a Sako L469, is my go to walk-about rifle. Will shoot 85 grain bullets right at 3000 FPS from a 24" barrel. Shoots 55 -75 grainers 3150 to 3250. Mine is a 10 twist & will steady...

Mulerider's comment about the trigger is spot on. Excellent design, easily adjusted, changing one spring can give it a very low pull weight & still maintain safety. Info on internet about modifying...

I load from the top single shot at the bench without issues. Was thinking of cutting the mag so it doesn't protrude & modifying it to stay in place.

Never got any good results with 30 or 35 grain bullets that I tried in the Hornet & 221 Fireball. I do use 37 grain Calhoon double hollow points in a Sako L46 222 & they shoot very nicely.

Best to use a "sized" case done in "your" FL die, not a fired unsized case, as a Go-gauge. I use a .004" brass shim on back of case head for a No-Go gauge. Set it where bolt barely starts to close...
