I agree that the 6 X 45 can shoot with the 6 PPC. I had a 6 X 47 benchrest rifle that would shoot with the PPC's when they first came out and often beat them.

Take a look at the 4.6 X 30. It is already 18 caliber. I have a 17VHA based on this case and it does 3500 fps. with a 20 gr. bullet. An 18 caliber bullet should get you to 200 yds.

I had a 4 X 12 50mm Swarovski on my 17 HH for a while. It was not a 30mm. It was a 1". I used the rings that came with my CZ Varmint. It worked great. Hope this helps.
