The Browning ammo is made by Winchester, but unlike everyone else, Winchester makes their own .17 HMR and .22 WMR ammo. Practically everyone else uses CCI to make their ammo for them.

Some of mine have nice, straight-grained walnut, but most of them look like they were picked off Ruger's woodpile. At least they shoot pretty good.

My buddy did a .221 Fireball on a REGULAR, not Mini Howa, and it fed fine. I can't help but think it would work fine on a Mini, too.

I haven't had any problem loading the Hornady Hornet, but since I haven't been able to beat the factory ammo's accuracy, I stocked up on the stuff and just quit loading for it. I had Darrik, the...

Just before I found my Hornet rifle, I was at the range shooting other things, when a fellow showed up with a Savage M40. He was shooting LG under a 40gr. Vmax, and after a bit, he asked if we could...

Nope, if it were HRC, there would have been fireworks already (the good kind!), on one likes her now, especially after she lost that last election to Trump.

There is the .270 REN, a handgun silhouette cartridge made for the Contender pistols. There might be a 6.5 version, I don't know, but that's about the only thing I can conjure up at the moment. I...

The main issue with .22 WMR accuracy, is the ammo, none is made to "match spec", it's all hunting ammo. Period, end of story. It shoots well enough for killing critters out to 125 yards, which is...

I had a stainless steel CZ 455 that I sent out to Missouri on a more or less "permanent" loan to a cousin of mine. I even gave him some ammo that the rifle likes a lot. It was the worst-shooting CZ...

Most of the Short-Only rifles have a twist rate of 1-20". I have an old Remington M24 Short Only. Even if my eyesight would permit it, I doubt it would shoot very well, it was used in a shooting...

A cousin of mine bought a .243 WSSM, a Browning, I think. He has a very difficult time finding ammo for it (he's not online, hasn't ever been online, and will never be online), and he lives in...

That is 100% right, I've had fifty round boxes of ammo blown off the bench while trying to shoot. The wind up in the dogtowns can be fierce.

I think I've got a can of AL-8 around here somewhere, from back when I was loading for the .41 Magnum. I didn't get the excellent results a buddy did, for HIS .41, and the powder has probably gone...

One of our neighbors when I was growing up had a Sako .264, which he was hyped on. No doubt it was a nice rifle, but his son killed a lot of deer, too, and he was using a Remington 742 in 6mm, (and...

I have two BuckmasterII 6-18 SF scopes. Like everyone else, I loathe the BDC reticle on one of them, the other has a Mil-Dot reticle, and is pretty nice. The optics are pretty good for the money.

I'm pretty sure that the 457 action is too short for a .17WSM or 5mm Remington Magnum, it's a lot shorter than the 455 action, and that one is already too short for the longer cartridges.
