My apologies Northman, our scales have to modes, Metric and Imperial. I thought it was set for metric so hit the mode button to change to imperial for you but the wife must have been using it on imperial so all I said before was incorrect. So I start again

A bare Sako Hunter Vixen should weigh 5 lb 12 ozs minus the stock which is 2 lbs so a bare barrelled action should weigh 3 lb 12 ozs.

A bare Sako Varmint according to my data is 8 lb 12 ozs but I do not have a varmint stock to weigh, but the hunter and varmint stock are both the same except for the beaver forend on the varmint.

Some examples of what a couple of my Sako's weigh

Sako 223, SS 26" barrel, Leupold Vari-x III AO scope and Hilver steel mounts = 8 lbs 8 ozs.

Sako 17 Rem Hunter, factory barrel, Hilver steel mounts, Kahles 8x56 steel scope = 8 lbs 3 ozs.

Hope this is useful for you
Pete
