For coyotes @ 400 yards you are asking to much from ANY caliber less than .22 for reliable kills. The ft/lbs of energy of a 55 gr bullet from a 22-250 at 400 yards is TWICE that of a 204 Ruger & even more than that from a 19-223. All you have to do is look at the energy levels of ANY of the sub 22 cal rounds @ 400 yards & know that they are inadequate for RELIABLE kills on coyotes @ that distance. What you will gain by going to a 19-223 over the 19 Badger is irrelevant @ 400 yards with regard to killing affect. The 19 Badger is a wonderful "fur friendly" round that will anchor coyotes at reasonable hunting distances & not blow the hide up to where it is worthless. Save your money, you have all you need. OR, if you want to shoot coyotes at ridiculous ranges get a 22-250 or 243 & be able to actually kill & not wound them.
