Default Magnification spotting scopes

What magnification do you use at the range for spotting targets out to 200 yds, with 22 size bullets?

Here's a tip worth nothing:
My 17REM has a 6.5-20x56 Zeiss Conquest and i struggle to see hits at 200m even on the best of days.
My 17Hornet has a Bushnell Elite 4200 6.5-24x40 and with good light i can usually see my hits at 200m.

Chap at our range places a small camera with transmitter near is target when he sets up.
He has a 7" monitor on his shooting bench. Works well for him. Too much messing for my liking.
Ken.

It depends on the conditions & what scope you have, but I have to be at 30X or greater to see 22 size holes at 200 yards. Can't see them at all at 20X.
