.20 cal, 55 gr Bergers and 8 Twist bbl??
Question for you guys shooting the .20 cal Berger 55 grainers: will an 8 twist tube be okay for that bullet? Seems 9 twist is the preferred rate. Wondering if 8 will spin the jackets off or something?
Thanks, Jordan |

What cartridge you putting behind the bullet? I'm shooting a 20-250 9 twist with the 55s at around 3700-3800 and it works great. Some say they are doing faster and not spinning them off. Maybe the 8 twist would at those velocities. Those bullets are supposedly not to hold together I think above 3600. They are flat shooters that's for sure. They also put the hurt on coyotes.

I run a 28" 8.5tw 3 groove Pac-Nor and get 3640 fps from my .20-.223AI. They are pretty tough and much past 400 yards they will pencil on Chucks for me. Berger recommends an 8tw.

It'll be a .20 Titan (.20 PPC blown forward).
