Finished load development for my new 17BR. Its an xp-100 with a 17" 8.5 twist McGowan barrel. Haven't run it over a chrono yet. There are 4 shots in the group.

30gr Berger HPBT
29.2gr of Varget (pretty warm)

Default Very nice SP Aaron!

Nice group too!
You need to try the 30 Golds also their b.c. is .275
What kind of speed are you getting with the b.r. case?Sorry just reread your text, you need to let us know,YA know?
1000yds is possible with a 17 SP as you well know.

Try some Nagel 30gr in it, they are good in my 17-204, and I bet Winchester 760 would run real nice in that case, I can put 28gr of it in the 17-204 with no problems at all, I may try for 28.5 or 29gr. I'll send you a half dozen of the Nagel's if you want to run a few. Larry

Is the bc better on the golds than the hpbt match bullet that berger made? I've got a BUNCH of 30gr bergers and some 30gr blackhole bullets to try too. I don't have any 760 to try. Do have RL15, benchmark, H4895 that I may try.

Got a chance to run them over the chrono today. 3920fps Might need to back it down a bit. Didn't expect them to be going that fast.

I think the Bergers are better, but you can't get them any more. Larry
