As for the rest, my hope is that if the .22-250 sells well, then they will consider the next logical piece; the .221 FB.

I have a 2-page article that will come out in Precision Shooting, in a month or so about the new .22-250 brass.

no no no, tell them even a clutz like me can shorten their 223 brass but I cant stretch it to 204 length!!!

Well Trevort,

I will add it to my list of things they need to make. Do you guys think the .204 is more popular than the .20 Tac..?

I'll e-mail my Canadian LAPUA dealer this evening.

It's not April 1 ...is it ?

What is the recommended starting load for that powder in a 250? What is max?

Heck for that matter, where is the load information at for Ramshot powders?

thanks

Default 22-250 w/ Ramshot Big Game

TIKKA 595 Master Class heavy barrel 24" 1:14 , all factory /no modifications

Using 52 gr. Berger seated 4 thou from rifling
Nosler custom brass
41.0 gr. Big Game
Avg. velocity @ 3900 fps hinging on hot load - bolt lift no problem but the brass life is reduced dramatically.
groups 1/4" @ 200 yds.

Used this load on coyotes this past winter with no care for fur - deadly accurate !

Default Aussie availability of Lapua 22-250

For all the Aussies and Kiwis listening.

I just spoke to Andrew of Custer and he advised it'll be in Australia about April next year. He also advised they are going to produce 308 Palmer brass.

I look forward to it arriving.

Default availability of 22-250Lapua brass in NZ

I emailed Lapua re time of arrival in NZ, as soon as I saw the first post - no reply. I emailed the NZ importer at the same time - no reply. So, it might be a case of importing it from Oz to NZ when it gets to Oz in April. I still wonder about the measurements of this new brass. If anyone comes across a case or few, could you put a micrometer over the vital statistics and post here please.

John,
Andrew advises that it has not gone into production so I can only assume that Steve's rounds are special production runs. Like so many of these, I'd be careful basing any perditions from those initial run rounds.

Cheers
