Ask Wally, he fesses up to liking his custom Hornet. He can tell you what works.

There's a guy who posts behind the name huntsman22 that posts over on the Fire and over on PM also IIRC who has one. He has killed a lot of stuff with his Ruger 77 in 17 HH, and he seems to like it a bunch. He's had his for several months.

I have heard good things about the Ruger from a few people. Excellent accuracy from the factory ammo (which seems consistent in all three mfr 17HH rifles)

Would be great if Anschuetz would produce a few in the 17HH

I just pass by occasionally and look.

I don't think Don (huntsman22) posts there any longer either. That's why I posted like I did.

Default Ruger 17HH

If anyone's interested, huntsman22 has quite a long photo post going on over on the 204 Ruger forum documenting many critter kills to his new Ruger 17HH.

As BCB noted, he's quite pleased with his.

No doubt, that is a thread worth checking out. Busiest 17HH I am aware of and Huntsman is pretty darn handy with a camera as well. Lots of interesting pictures.

Keen to hear reports too... and to confirm rumours that the barrels on the Ruger 17HH are now properly screwed into the receivers, not clamped
