What can be done with a #4 rolling block 25 rimfire
A buddy of mine is wanting a scope I have and offered me his remington #4 rolling block in 25-10 as the barrel is marked. It is Remington's version of the 25 rimfire from what I have read. Seeing as there are no 25 rimfire rounds, I was wondering if this could be converted to centerfire for even a 25acp plinking gun. I didn't know if it was possible or atleast reasonable money wise. If not, could this have a liner put in for about any of the rimfire rounds. The new 17wsm is probably to much but what about 17hmr. I was just seeing if I could do anything with it if I did trade him. The gun is in nice shape and I have a thing for any old single shot. Any advise is appreciated.

I would think a 25-20 would be perfect in this gun. It would just be a rechamber and move the firing pin. Larry Potterfield showed how to do it in one of his light gun smithing videos.

So the #4 can be converted. I read last night on another forum that the #1 and 2 could but the #4 couldn't or wasn't strong enough.

Brad, on Gunbroker a few weeks ago I was bidding on one converted to 357, really sweet piece just too rich for my blood.
