Default continuation of 17 tcm/179mm

I was having photo problems. Here is my 20 Boomer, chambered it Friday, shot 12.8 gns AA 1680 6.5 Rem at 3100 fps or so and very accurate no barrel heat, I think its going to be a good P dog killer. Any more specs or questions please ask. sgtg out

Sgtg..... Very nice job, looks like you have it dialed in. I like the neck length.

Great looking brass. What were your final brass prepping procedures?

Thanks to all. The neck length is .19, I'm with ray h and like the 40 deg. shoulder but a little more neck length. I wanted to move as little brass as possible, the body is .372-.364.

Waskawood; The die in the picture is like a Redding bushing die that would be perfect for a 22 TCM.
I do three steps down on neck diameter, then expand to .204 and trim overall length to 1.02, then turn neck OD.
Then one more size in die to get .2025-.2030 ID, that is ok neck tension, load and shoot.
I pulled the ejector out of my bolt so the case stays on the extractor when opened, much better than shaking them out, just pick them off bolt face. sgtg out

Default powder choices

I loaded 12.8 gns. AA 1680 and got 3100 fps. with no pressure, primers are still round. 13-13.2 I'll be out of room with 1680. What powders would you guys try? I'm thinking Lil gun, RL 7, H4227, Power Pro 300MP, VV120, or any others. I think I need just a little quicker powder, AA2200 is too slow (can't get enough in case) I would appreciate your thoughts on any or all these,Thanks sgtg out

300 MP worked well in my 17 VHA. Not sure how it would like the 20. Thanks for the information.

My first thought was 300mp as well, I remember a few guys getting nice velocity and accuracy in the 17 vha with it. I would have guessed you would get 3400 fps somewhere near what guys are getting with lil gun in their hornets? Just a guess
