Having never owned a 22 Mag A-Bolt butt 3 in 22 LR they are a Hit or Miss in the accuracy department.

They handle well feed, eject just mediocre accuracy 3/4" @ 50 Yds is the average accuracy and they were all feed a verity of ammo.

The Jap 22's IMO are all pretty much the same having owned & shot a good amount of the Winc 52 Repos although not quite as bad also lack in the accuracy dept

Good Luck

Jim

Don't agree on all rimfires shooting about the same, my experience with them has been variable.

Unfortunately price was not right so I passed

Amen to that.
I’ve had several Ruger 77/22 rifles that were highly inaccurate. I’ve had some other rimfire that were very accurate. The accurate ones were Anschutz, Kimber, cooper, and Remington.

No argument on ammo mate, it amazes how it can be so different. I bought a ruger 77/22 in 22 WMR, the trigger had already been worked, it was an early 90s model and did not need the bolt shimming.

I put an old Tasco 4.5-16 I think it was just to test ammo when I went to the Remington premium 33 gr I could not believe it, a five shot group at 100 yds with four holes touching and just off the group I was amazed.

To buy that ammo here if you can find it its around $46.00 for 50 absolutely crazy, Hornady works well so thats where are.

The Browning was $750.00 AUD a little over $500,00 USD the looking around ive done the A bolt seems to have got more bad feed back than good

I have an A-Bolt in .22 Magnum and love it. I bought it new in the 1990s and shoot it a lot. I killed a few dozen ground squirrels with it just two days ago.

It is understandable if the price wasn't right, but I've had great results from mine.

I recently bought a stainless RAR in .22 Magnum, and like most .22 Magnums, is rather mediocre, accuracy-wise. It handles like a kid's rifle, though, and it's handy as heck. I think I'll probably keep it, for those reasons alone. It's really pretty common, but the stock is indestructible, and I might just leave it out in Missouri for my nephews to use. I have a .22LR Predator RAR that isn't too bad, but nothing compared to my CZs.
The RAR Magnum shoots well enough for most purposes, under 100 yards, but it sure isn't confidence-inspiring, at least to me. My Hornets shoot a LOT better.
