Default Someone dumping PacNor barrels

Not mine, but there are a bunch of PacNor blanks on Ebay now, just search for Barrel Blank some have some very odd twist rates etc, but if you find what you want it may be a deal for you. Mostly $80.00 and $90.00 each. Larry

Definitely some interesting caliber and twist combos. $29 to ship makes the deal a little less tempting to build a unique setup.

What's an 'H' groove? Couple have that.

I have no idea what an "H" groove is. Lots of long twist rates, I think I saw a .20 with a 1 in 16.

H grove could be what Pac-Nor list as standard or popular twist and they describe it as 'Highlighted'

Default 6mm

Would those 6mm be to slow for a 6x45 shooting 58 or 65 Vmax's?
I have wanted to build a 6x45 on a CZ 527 but it would like to start with the right twist.

My 6mm BR has a 1-14 twist and I can shoot the 65 gr. Vmax bullets without any problems and even tried the 75 gr V-max and they were stable at 100 yards(but not likely by very much).

Default pacnor marking

The pacnor blanks I've had all have their name stamped on them. Pulled out the one unturned one I still have and doesn't look like those. Scrolling through most of what's listed I found one that looks like mine and it didn't have that black finish ....the rest? Maybe an old batch?

14 will get it done, but at 3200-3250 fps for 58's I found varminting terminal performance lacking. If I were to do it again I'd go 10 twist and AA2200 is highly recommended for max velocity with the light bullets. 10tw also gives you more options for heavier bullets if desired to make a multi-purpose rifle.

evening all. this guy has been selling these for at least a year. i bought one back then in .22 cal. with 3 grooves, 10 twist and chambered it in 22-250 in a mauser 98 action ending up with 26". "pac-nor" was not on it anywhere. i had a couple of thousand 55gr bullets so that is all i have shot through it. it took a good 100 rounds to break it in and is now as consistent as i could ever hope for. at 100yds in a 5 round group, 4 will be one ragged hole while a random one will always open it up to a 1/2 in or slightly more. at the time it cost $80.00 and $12.00 shipping.
