Considering that there are still many Remington 500 series 22's floating around looking for a permanent home, I wouldn't pay fifty bucks for something like that. jd

I looked at one today at Bud's Gun Shop. The metalwork looked pretty fair to me, but the wood was awful, and I mean that sincerely and emphatically. Bud's didn't want anyone yanking out the bolts (everything was tied down). Their price was $179, not a great deal of money, but if it's MY money, I'll spend it on something with better fitment. If that action could be dropped into another stock, you might have something.
It IS similar to a CZ, but more coarsely done. |

Thanks Glennlasher. Sure would be interesting to know just hw close to the CZs they really are (interchangeable parts).
Reminds me of my first Savage. It was a 22 mag and had a very plain ugly stock. But the price was $180 cash and carry so I bought it for calling raccoons at night (didn’t want a nice stocked rifle for that). It did come with the accutrigger though. Anyhow that cheap 22 mag not only paid for itself and was perfect for what we wanted to use it for but it also was fun to get out and do some plunking with.
