There were 39.6+ million NICS checks last year alone. Figuring it out isn't too difficult. You need to be writing and calling to your Representatives and Senators at the State and Federal level.

I sent this link to everyone on my email list, Yes call your representatives, But do remind everyone you know that there are a LOT more of us than them, I think everyone needs to be reminded a little more frequently. The government works for us, not us for them

Yes gun sales are booming and so are ammo sales. I just saw my first box of 38spl priced at $80.00 for 50rds and today a 20rnd box of 38spl for $40. Both of those shops have lost me as a customer from here on out. And before anyone says these prices are not high, they are where I live! I bought 2 boxes of 357mag/ 50rnds for $24.00 a piece, the same day I was quoted $80 for 38spl.

I hope when this whole scare is over people remember the vultures who preyed on people during this whole time! I don't have a problem with 10-20% mark-up over normal prices, the above prices are 200+%!

And here I was thinking that California was an anti gun state, but with 119,000 plus, it seems to be going against that thinking. Must be something in the anti lead thing after all.

As a side note in this thread, just found a fresh Remington Ammunition rebate. I would say things are looking up with those folks starting to crank out ammo and components again.

Soon as blipen sends that next $1400 check
maybe I'll go buy a couple more guns.

Bought three last year I can recall, 3 or 4 the year before.

None so far this year, haven't been looking either--yet.
That might change soon though.
