I had purchased one of the new lowered bolt handles from CZ when setting up my 527 carbine in 7.62x39 with a 30mm tube Weaver 1-4x24 scope and Warne medium rings.

Just got a CZ527 "American" in .221 from a member here... Which came to me with the CZ factory mounts and RED locktite on the threads. Rather than get into the process of removing that set of rings and mounting the Warne medium 1" set as I'd intended, I just dropped a Redfield 6-18x44 scope into those VERY solidly attached rings- And borrowed the low profile bolt handle from the 7.62x39 carbine to get it sighted in. Thinking I would send for a couple more of the low profile handles, and get all 3 of my 527 rifles set up with these this week...

Now CZ website says these are out of stock!

(Why didn't I buy 2 or 3 of these when they were available?!!!)

Anyone got a spare?

Apply a little heat to that red locktite and the screws will come right out. Heat will temporarily soften the locktite to a gummy consistency before anything gets hot enough to be of concern.

There was a good article in Australian Guns and Game magazine which included mention of the new CZ bolt handle...
