Default Update on Brother Stevo.

I got permission to share this from Steve's Lovely wife today. Steve isn't doing well guys. We had a long conversation so I'll do my best to convey this as accurately as possible. As most know, Steve has been battling with squamous cell carcinoma cancer. Most who have heard of that particular cancer heard the term from their dermatologist, "a skin cancer somewhere rated between a basil cell and melanoma", your Dr probably cut it off and you went on with your business. That is true for most "but!", if it get's into your glands and such it's a whole nuther animal, Steve's did get inside.
Steve has had a series of surgery's, chemo's, radiation treatments and experimental drugs, if he wasn't the fighter he is he'd have let go and give up a long while back. As it stands currently, they are or have just finished another go-round of radiation and at this point as I understand it he's not up to anymore chemo.
That family has been through a terrible time and aside from Steve having the cursed disease his Bride has been through more than any man ever wants to put his wife through, "please", pray for both of them and the kids as well.
That's the deal guys . Steve and I became friends quite some time back cause I had the same kind of cancer, fortunately for us it was found early and the first shot of radiation, chemo and surgery fixed it 17 1/2 years ago, Stevo wasn't so lucky.
He isn't up to talking, he's in a lotta pain and and with the surgeries and other issues the phone calls are real bad for him.
I know he made a lotta friends here cause that's the kind of man he is, I ain't to good at beating around the bush and I knew you guy's would like to know so I hope that was handled properly. All prayers appreciated.
Anyone that would like to know or do more please PM me.

Thanks Doug. Very sorry to hear about his situation.
Seemed like a great guy the several e'mails and pm's
we passed. The last wasn't too long ago either. He's
been on the board quite a few years with us, always a
nice informative poster.

I go in for a branding every 4-6 months and have a war
chest of junk for it. Namely: Efudex cream. Sure makes a
mess of things, but, seems to clean it off fairly well for a year
or two. Much less painful than branding or carving it off.

Hope for the best for him and family.

Side note and bit of hijack: Kenny Pond aka sicero has been
fighting cancer several years now. He's in a bad way too.

You praying types, please include him while you're at it.

Prayers up.

Had melanoma about 8 years ago. Fortunately it was caught early. Terrible disease if it gets inside and not a lot of fun even if it doesn't.
