Are their any bolt action rifles that can be modified to fire he 32acp round, or is it strictly a single shot round? The case head looks close to the hornet. I think that his would make a perfect squirrel hunting rig.

In the article he turn that kimber into a single shot and thats they way it needs to be. Jack said it was a very very accurate little shooter for squirrel hunting. And I was kicking around making one till I saw the 22 squirrel. But when Hornady came out with the 30gr. V-max round in 22 magnum I forgot about making a little CF squirrel rifle. My VMBZ 22 magnum shoots the little V-max alot better than I could ever shoot! But for you guys that like to tinker it would be a fun round. I like to hunt more than I do tinkering

I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Jack while he was trying to recuperate at Margie's B&B.

I mentioned that I had read his articles in SCN and was a fan.

He asked what I was shooting and when I mentioned a 17 Squirrel on a Kimber Mod 82 he kind of harumphed and said:

"That's been done, try something new!"

He and Margie had a squirrel timber they shared and the "Rush" calibers were developed with their harvest in mind.

He had lost a lot of weight and was wheel chair bound but still ornery as a pup and had a glint in his eye.

I felt I knew him after reading his articles.

Having met and chatted with him is one of the great and special joys in my life.

The rifle Jack used in the article was cool looking they did a nice job on it. Like Todd Kindler said you real don't save any time with the repeater when you think about it.
