Default The Wasp Stings *May Be A Shooter*

Shot the Wasp today.
Pistol: Contender Easy Open Frame (10 Ounce Trigger BY Me)
Grips Georgia Jim Yellow Laminate
Barrel 16 Inch OTT Full Bull Matte Finish Chambered in 219 Donaldson (Long Version)
BullBerry Scope Base With Burris Signature Rings
Burris Predator Quest 4.5-14x42 1 Inch Scope

Ammo: New Winchester Brass Just Formed
IMR 3031 Powder (Old Thin Red Can) 24.2 Grains
CCI 200 Primers
Hornady 55 Grain V-Max

It was about 57 degrees wind calm. Distance about 60 yards. Sitting on Fuzz Rest. Solid even for an old man like me. This was a joy to shoot. Sad to say I have had it for three or four years and just got around to forming brass and shooting. Can't wait til I get some load development. The second box of new brass is loaded with IMR 4320. Can NOT WAIT See Pictures Below.

Thanks for reading and if you have any pet loads please let me know
Doug

Good looking gun and great groups.

I like that case. The neck is just the right length.

That is one nice looking firearm. It looks like you are going to have a real shooter there. Thanks for sharing.

Doug, looks like a dandy. I have always been interested in the 219DW. It has a LOT of history and has influenced a goodly amount of BR cases, though it gets small mention in most write ups.
I ran across a 219 Zipper AI barrel for a contender carbine a while back. Before that I ran across a 219DW 14" barrel also. I never dropped the hammer on either, already to many projects that have not been given attention.

Great shooting too,saw this post over on Specialty Pistols first and I’m glad you posted here too.Thinking 219DW would enjoy seeing this post too.I really love the Ruger number 1’s that he shoots, especially the 20 caliber one

That Fuzz rest is a far cry from the one I have. Got mine years ago from him. He did a lot of work doing what guys asked for.
FYI, I had to much packed into my rear bag (hard) caused a lot of vertical issues.

Doug,
Did that come from central Illinois? Looks a whole lot like one I got from a "Fuzz"
who lives about 10 miles down the road!
