Is it safe to assume that the 50gr. was shot from your 20BR? I don't think my 204 will stabilize that heavy of a bullet.

Haven't run it over the chrony, but "book" from Hodgdon's data site would suggest about 3700fps....

I've always suspected that those numbers are inflated....looking forward to check them out when the weather warms up.....

That has always been my case. I almost never get mine close to what reloading manuals claim.
I did chrony my 204 using the 35gr. Berger and it was a very consistant 4000 fps. with a very small variation. That was a first time for me.

On a side note. I'm having a Kimber Montana 204 barreled to a 17 Rem. and my Gunsmith who is a big Remington fan told me it was the squarest action he has ever seen on a factory rifle. I guess Kimber did something right.
