Ron I had to laugh when you talked about soap weeds. My shooting buddy's out west will always say "don't you see that dog right next to that soap weed?" an your looking at near on 175 acers of the cotton picking things. Can't say I've ever ate one but heck who knows might give it a try.

Cottontail numbers are up in the east here. They will chew the bark off newly planted fruit trees as high as they can reach in the winter. Then they die. I have no problem keeping the numbers in check with my M77 in .22 mag. Gun shoots the 30gr V max like a laser. Fun, fun, fun.

I'm getting off in the weeds here... But more yucca talk.
Makes excellent cordage. Have seen ancient examples countless times. Everything from Anasazi building construction to Fremont sandals. Here is an example of yucca cordage used in Anasazi construction - those knots are more than 700 years old. Useful plant for sure! - DAA |

OUTSTANDING! DAA Thanks so much for the picture.
Proof that while we think we are advanced, I can think of very little useful items that will last that long from our century. While lots of items from our everyday life will certainly be here, I don't think they will be intentional (if that makes any sense).
