Default forming 17-223 brass

Trying to figure out what I need to form17x223 brass Then later resize and seat bullets.

The dies I have now that may work are Redding type s dies in the following calibers;
6mm-223
17 Remington
17 MIV
various size bushing for 17 and 20 caliber.

I figure once I form the brass, the 6mm-223 die with a 17 cal stem and 17 cal bushing should be able to resize the brass but S dies never seem to form brass very well.

As for seating, the 17 rem and 17miv competition dies don't seem to have the correct dimensions in the body and shoulder angle.

what additional dies would you suggest?

thanks

After you form some brass try it in the 17 Remington seating die, they are usually very large. If you have the chamber reamer, just run it into a 17 cal blank die, it will cut a chamber and leave a ring exactly at the start of your rifling, then just use it to seat bullets. Larry
