HillbillySniper is correct, but it's nice having the correct trigger guard / bottom metal and blocked magazine. You can keep an eye on Numrich, EBay and ask on the CZ FB pages. I just picked a 17/22 Hornet bottom metal for another FB conversion I'll be doing soon. PM me your phone # and we can discuss the gunsmith I use.

I don't know where you are located in VA., but I would give "Jack Keister Custom" a call. He does excellent work and builds accurate rifles. I have never heard anything but high praise for his work!

Can you use the bolt from a hornet when you rebarrel to a fireball cartridge?

I did on mine, had my gunsmith open the hornet bolt face to the Fireball case. Works just fine, with the addition of a fireball magazine.

I looked up his website and he is Harrisonburg, VA. It is about an hour drive from me. I will look into his services. Thanks.

218Bee- you must be down around Lexington, if so, there is another good gunsmith near you. If that is the case, let me know and hopefully I can remember his name by then.

Are you looking to convert a 527 Hornet to a Fireball?
